Abstract
The utility model pertains to a biomass briquetting system consisting of a pedal-powered shredder apparatus, a biomass mixer, and briquetting compactor. The pedal-powered shredder reduces the size received biomass apparatus which comprises a component housing, a pedal-powered prime mover that powers a dynamo, said dynamo that provides current to a motor, said motor that rotates a cutter whose speed can be controlled by a feeder, and a power transmission assembly that transmits mechanical energy from the prime mover to other moving parts of the apparatus. The biomass mixer receives reduced biomass and mixes it with a binder material to produce a slurry. It comprises a mixing container equipped with a vertically retractable bladed mixing shaft, an output pipe, and a power transmission assembly that powers the rotation and vertical motion of the mixing shaft. The briquetting compactor receives mixed slurry and compresses it to produces the biomass briquette. It comprises a body frame, a cylindrical tube, a piston, a shafting mechanism, a hydraulic jack, and a power transmission assembly.
