Abstract
Disclosed is a system for regulating intravenous drip rate which comprises s a drip chamber; a sensor for detecting signals drops within the drip chamber; a motor to rotate a screw in the clamp; a monitor that displays the input and output of the electronic signal of the flow rate of the fluid drops into the IV tubing sensed by the sensor; and a controller which contains a program, electronically connected to the sensor, the motor and the monitor, whereby when the number of fluid drops into the IV tubing sensed by the sensor differs from the number of fluid drops into the IV tubing stored in the controller, said controller transmits the signal to the motor to rotate, by tightening or loosening the clamp to adjust the number of the flow rate of the fluid drops into the IV tubing.
